Hello to all. I am new to the forum and I would like to have more details on these 2 products. In particular, I have the galletto but not yet to me they are hazardous in to connect it to my machine as I don't know yet its actual functions and procedures. I have read that it is the cock that the ktag work well and are equal to a lot of things. Can you give me information about it? Thanks in advance and sorry for the ignorance!

Hello I have a v54 and honestly I looked and continue to look ktag because as a tool I like. The only limitation that has the ktag is the read-only access to tour and then forget about it write in the serial. The cock however is a bit more elastic, even if using it unfortunately I found some protocol that was not working. For the rest I was satisfied, for the early experiences I think is better the cock good buy. :)

Thanks for the reply Andrea. In fact, the ktag me, has retained much of the fact that you can only use it at the bar and this pushed me to opt for the chicken, only that I still do not understand all of its features

Carlo thanks for the answer, much better why? With regard to the protocols, reliability? For the convenience of use, however, the Rooster also has one more gear, don't you think? Has anyone had a chance to try them both and can list the qualities and defects? Thanks

regarding the hardware, I have only tried the rooster, let's say that if you take the k-tag you should also take the kess to be able to write and read both in serial and on the bench.

Use the rooster is not very difficult if you pay attention, all of the features of the discover floor plan according to power units you will. However, if you read in serial it is enough to select the right driver and read, the eye that some may not the law really but only virtually (virtual read), but nonetheless there it is all written in the documentation that was supplied with the cock.
To work on the bench instead of on the basis of the control unit you can operate in boot mode, jtag or three colours and also in this case, follow the documentation and go on the safe side.

My opinion galletto Fgtech v54 and kess ktag cock-and a tool that works in both obd and bdm, and it works perfectly,kess and ktag are 2 separate tools and the same work good but both the galletto and kess and ktag year their flaws........

my idea is that if you need to make the most car possible you need to have all of them and 3 Galletto Kess and KTAG.
For the simple reason that where there comes one comes the other.
A couple of examples this week. Mercedes Viano 115D of 2007, he was sent to recovery with a mod wrong. With the rooster couldn't upload the file to the original. Had been lost also to the frame. Restored the ori with the kess in normal writing, NO recovery. And then written with the kess the file with the mod DPF correct.
JAguar X-type 2.2 D Delphi DCM555 the galletto not read it by obd. The kess You.
Have more tool you avoid find yourself in trouble.

Hi there. I'm using original KTAG for a few years. It's good stuff, but i had a few inssues with wrong calculated checksums by ktag and cars wont start;/. Lately i had to use winols checksum to help ktag with edc17cp14. A Friend of mine have the original wing nut and have no problems with checksums.
